Calacatta Gold, also known as Calacatta Oro (which means gold in Italian) marble, has a distinctive white background with gold, gray, and ivory veins. It is a rare and exceptional marble that is only found in Italy where the popular Carrara marble is also quarried from. The two stones look similar but Calacatta Gold has bolder veins and a whiter background.
